A Letter From the President

Congratulations on taking the next steps toward pursuing your professional goals with Alpha Kappa Psi.

Here at the Alpha Zeta chapter of the University of Southern California, our brothers’ success is our mission. We strive to develop our brothers into principled business leaders through carefully-tailored professional lessons that transcend beyond their undergraduate years. These lessons in addition to a strong network of lifelong brothers equip our members with an arsenal of resources and experiences in which they can leverage to tackle any professional endeavor that lies ahead. It is no surprise that our brothers are consistently successful in placement at the best firms out there.

While professional excellence is a cornerstone of our fraternity, we truly believe in aligning our brothers’ career goals with an unparalleled collegiate experience. Traditions are in place to foster a close-knit brotherhood, one made possible by our brothers’ shared aspirations for professional success. We believe that a journey is only as good as the people tagging along, and it is this philosophy that defines our core values.

On a personal note, Alpha Kappa Psi has been instrumental in shaping my professional success, helping me find my sense of purpose in college, and giving me friendships that I cherish - I welcome you to challenge yourself in joining us this fall to see if you can find your place here at USC just as I did.

In U-- and I--,

alpha zeta

With over 60 current members and hundreds of alumni, Alpha Zeta is one of the most storied chapters within Alpha Kappa Psi. Incorporated on May 3, 1922, the chapter has seen many alumni graduate and succeed in various industries beyond the University of Southern California.

Alpha Zeta’s biggest advantage is its diversity of interests. Since our fraternity is open to all majors, we have members going into a variety of fields from product design to marketing to investment banking. We have been able to leverage our diversity by creating Alpha Zeta groups, or AZ groups. AZ groups are comprised of brothers with similar career interests. Each AZ group is spearheaded by a senior member of the fraternity, who dedicates his/her time preparing their respective groups for the industry they are interested in. Currently, Alpha Zeta has four AZ groups AZ Consulting, AZ B4, AZ 13, and AZ Business Development.

More than anything, we want our chapter to feel more than just an on-campus organization. We want to create a family. Maintaining strong connections with our alumni and having a house on USC’s famous Greek Row has allowed our Brothers to create relationships with each other that extend beyond networking. Regardless of where we are in our own journey, our chapter’s Brothers are dedicated to helping each other succeed in all aspects of life.

History of Alpha Kappa Psi

In 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during college and beyond.

In developing principled business leaders, Alpha Kappa Psi adheres to 5 lifetime values: Brotherhood, Knowledge, Integrity, Service and Unity. Brotherhood represents trust, respect, cooperation, companionship and that aid to brother members is the expected norm; Knowledge represents education and that experience is emphasized and shared; Integrity represents that all actions, whether in business of in life, are guided by honesty, ethics and fairness; Service represents that the sharing of time, talent, and treasure with society and with out fraternity is priority; and Unity represents that a common understanding of our vision and values that transcends chapter, generation and profession is utilized to anticipate and create the future. Our vision is that Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders.

College men and women everywhere are discovering that Alpha Kappa Psi is much more than just another organization or club - it is a unique, prestigious association of students, professors, graduates and professionals with common interest and goals. They join Alpha Kappa Psi to take advantage of valuable educational, friendship and networking opportunities.
